Superoxide Dismutase Saccharide Mist (Sdsm2)
SDSM2 is the second generation of SDSM, NIOD's dermal treatment mist–not to be classified mistakenly as a "toner" – that acts as a fundamental daily force against oxidative stress, water loss and the look of inflammation, all of which contribute to loss of visible skin quality over time. The large 240ml mist format allows for generous and frequent application to the face and the body as desired.
SDSM2 introduces two additional features to the formula:
- A more potent form of Superoxide Dismutase derived from yeast originally isolated from grape skin with an extremely high activity of up to 55000 pyrogallol autoxidation inhibitor units per ml and
- A purified, ph-balanced extract of malachite rock, or copper carbonate hydroxide mineral, which offers additional direct scavenging of the superoxide radical. The new yeast source of SOD also has further advantage of higher colour stability than before which, complemented by the naturally turquoise colour of malachite, renders the colour of SDSM2 brighter yet more saturated.
The technologies in SDSM2 are:
Yeast-Derived Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) Superoxide - is the main reactive oxygen species in each cell and SOD is the body's natural way of out-competing the ongoing and very damaging effect of superoxide in cells. Arguably, SOD is the most important force against oxidation in the human body. Under direct UVB exposure, topical SOD was shown to reduce the look of additional inflammation by nearly 100%. SOD has in the past been difficult to obtain or to stabilize. SDSM contains a very high concentration of SOD in completely stable and solubilized form. SDSM2 introduces an even more potent SOD with an extremely high activity of up to 55000 pyrogallol autoxidation inhibitor units per ml, resulting in exceptionally high activity of approximately 500 pyrogallol autoxidation inhibitor units per ml of the formula.
Purified North American Four O' Clock Flower - A studied bio-derivative of this Aztec plant helps reduce the look of inflammation.
Marine Exopolysaccharides - Derived entirely through fermentation processes, this sustainably-sourced marine polysaccharide is able to preserve water significantly more than the highest molecular sizes of hyaluronic acid, without any of the drawbacks associated with topical application of such higher weights. This ability prevents water loss even in extreme cases (measured under severely cold temperatures (-20 C) where this polysaccharide increased water preservation by 60%–and in comparison, high-molecular weight HA increased preservation by only 11%). With continued use, the longer-term benefits of preserving hydration are far beyond just hydration itself; however, from a more immediate perspective, this technology increases skin hydration by more than 35% and measurably reduces the look of roughness within 2 hours.
Malachite Rock Extract - This highly-purified, ph-balanced extract of malachite rock, or copper carbonate hydroxide mineral, offers additional direct scavenging of the superoxide radical. It also offers very high potency against oxidative stressors through multiple pathways. SDSM2 owes its more pronounced turquoise colour to the extract of this naturally-copper-rich rock.""
Apply morning and evening to face and neck after cleaning before application of other treatments. If used as part of a NIOD regimen, apply after LVCE and/or SS, but before CAIS. Can be used on body areas if desired to improve water density and/or target oxidative stressors.

Postage and Packing Costs
Postage and packing costs will be added to the cost of your order and will depend on the total cost of the items you order and, where delivery options are provided, the option you choose.
The postage and packaging charge you will pay will be displayed on screen before you confirm your order to us. Where multiple items are included in one order, we may dispatch the items separately, in which case, you will only be charged one postage and packing charge. If your order total drops below the £10 delivery threshold due to cancelled orders, you will be charged the standard delivery rate.
Express Delivery = Charge £9.95 (We aim to deliver the next working day for orders placed before 2pm. Orders made before Friday 2pm will be delivered on Monday. Orders placed after Friday 2pm, throughout the weekend and before Monday 2pm will be delivered Tuesday)
Restricted Delivery = Charge £9.95 (Orders placed from Thursday 2pm throughout the weekend will be delivered by Tuesday). This rate is for products that cannot be sent via Royal Mail such as pressurised containers or products that require refrigeration.
Standard delivery is currently FREE for all orders over £10 (We aim to dispatch orders within 3 - 5 working days to the address provided by you in your order). Exclusions apply (refrigerated products and pressurised containers need to be sent with Restricted Delivery)
Wheelchair delivery and other large items = charge £49.95. Delivered within 3 working days on orders placed before 2pm, Monday to Friday.
Orders over £10 = No postage and packaging charge, unless a discount code is applied. Excludes wheelchairs and other large items.
Purchasing in bulk/high unit volume
Please note that when purchasing high unit volumes of single lines (10+ units) that delivery promotions are null and void. This is as a result of high volume orders not being able to be dispatched via our normal third party fulfilment. As a result for any excessive bulk orders of single lines we will be in touch regarding your order to discuss further delivery costs that will be incurred.
