Algologie was founded in 1996 by Gérard Redziniak, a doctor of molecular chemistry, who was inspired by the unique biotope of the Sillon de Talbert, a 35-meter wide dune barrier standing up to the tough Atlantic waves. Redziniak discovered a wide variety of marine plants and algae in this area, and he began to research their potential benefits for the skin.
