These products make the claim of being preservative free, though may still include preservatives from the safe list (sodium benzoate, phenoxyethanol, proplyene glycol). Without preservatives products containing water would not last more than a couple of days before spoiling.
Anhydrous (without water) products do not need to use preservatives.
