Deep in the Indus Valley, blue textiles dyed with indigotin have emerged from the city of Mohenjo-Daro, while in Central America, indirubin red can be seen on Mayan frescoes and statues.

In Africa, women use it to dye their skin and hair a deep black.

Indigo also has incredible biological properties.
