When to drink it It’s high caffeine content means this tea is traditionally enjoyed in the morning at breakfast time. Drink with a splash of milk as the intense flavours can hold their own. Rich and smooth - it’s well worth getting out of bed for. Ingredient Focus We use only the highest quality natural ingredients in our blends, carefully sourcing our whole leaf teas from specific regions and estates for the optimum grade and unique flavour profiles. Assam TGFOP (Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe) High-quality grade tea made from the delicate leaf tips of the Assam tea bush. This Assam comes from the Harmutty Estate, known for their exquisite golden tips. Located at the foothills of Eastern Himalayas, in the nutrient rich clay soil of the floodplains of the Brahmapurta river valley, the Harmutty Estate produces tea which is luxuriously full bodied and flavourful with a malty sweetness. Kenyan GFBOP (Golden Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe) Processed using only traditional and orthodox methods, once plucked these leaves are gently rolled in order to preserve the floral character. Situated on the edge of Kenya’s Sirwa river and surrounded by the thick forest of South Nandi, the Kaimosi Tea Estate’s sunny climate combined with regular rainstorms makes for a tea which is light and enjoyable with a full bodied and aromatic flavour without bitterness.
For the perfect brew, use freshly boiled water at 100°C, and infuse for 3-5 minutes.
Assam TGFOP (Harmutty Estate, India) and Kenyan GFBOP (KaimosI Estate, Kenya).
A classic blend of rich Assam and Kenyan whole leaf teas. A full bodied robust blend of complex malty Assam balancing brisk Kenyan notes. Perfect as an everyday tea. A real British classic. Having grown up drinking Assam tea harvested by my grandfather, it was especially significant for my English Breakfast blend to be predominantly tippy Assam. Nostalgia in a cup. Each box contains 15 individually wrapped pyramid bags. All our packaging is entirely plastic-free! Contains caffeine.
