Ferulic Acid Skincare

Ferulic acid is rarely the headline ingredient, and that's rather the point – it's a plant-derived antioxidant used mainly to make other antioxidants work harder. Found naturally in rice bran, oats and apple seeds, it's best known as the third element in the classic vitamin C, vitamin E and ferulic acid combination.

Its real value is stability: ferulic acid helps keep vitamin C formulas usable for longer, which matters a great deal with an ingredient as prone to oxidising as L-ascorbic acid. Look for it on the ingredients list of a vitamin C serum rather than seeking it out alone. Part of our active skincare range.
