Linoleic Acid Skincare

Linoleic acid is an omega-6 fatty acid and one of the lipids skin uses to keep its barrier functioning comfortably. In skincare it appears mainly through lightweight plant oils – rosehip, safflower, evening primrose, grapeseed – and it's the reason some facial oils feel light rather than heavy.

It's particularly worth knowing about if your skin is oily but also feels tight or looks congested: oils high in linoleic acid tend to sit better on that kind of skin than richer, oleic-heavy oils do. Part of our active skincare range.
