- Orange essential oil has a light, soft and citrusy aroma. The early Arabs were the first to write about the orange, which originated in China. The exact date of its arrival in Europe is not known. It was successfully introduced from Europe to the West Indies in the 15th century, and from there to the New World – the Americas – where it is now mainly grown as a commercial crop.
- It is ideal in massage blends (in a carrier oil) to help improve digestive function, particularly after indulging in high fat foods. In a diffuser, it is cheering to the spirit and will help to release anxiety and encourage feelings of joy. Orange is zesty, refreshing and sunny and blends well with Frankincense, Citronella and Ginger.
